Jitka Skuhrava Glass

Mist/Mystery

Private Villa, USA

In nature, mist reveals the path of light through tiny water particles. Mist recreates this phenomenon using delicately hand-blown and shaped glass plates – each infused with white gradient to enhance their organic feel. The softly curved elements float at various heights, mimicking the layered form of a misty Stratus cloud. Subtle movement from surrounding air gives the piece life and motion, while artist-engraved patterns on the glass create mesmerizing shadow effects and a deeply personal signature. Lit by a ceiling-mounted downlight, Mist becomes a radiant and luxurious centerpiece.

Mist

Private Residence, Europe

A floating horizontal Stratus cloud made of glass and light. Just as natural misty cloud refracts and reflects light in mid-air, this sculptural piece transforms space through layered glass, soft curves, and atmospheric shadows. Each element is hand-blown and bent, infused with opaque white tones to evoke the purity and irregularity of nature. Hand-engraved patterns on the glass surface create intricate shadows, adding depth and character to the whole composition. Suspended at varying heights and gently responsive to air movement, the glass plates form a softly defined cloud that glows from above, illuminated by a ceiling- mounted downlight.

Mist

Private Residence Xiamen, China 2017

- is a light installation composed of hand-blown and artistically engraved opaque white glass plates, suspended in an organic formation reminiscent of a spiraling cloud or natural vortex. Each element is unique. Hung at varying heights, the components move subtly with the air, creating the impression of a living, shifting composition. This sculptural arrangement blends light, movement, and material. The engraved surfaces diffuse the light and cast distinctive shadows that evolve throughout the day. Mist brings a poetic calm into architectural space.

Mist

Oakwood Premier Oue Singapore, Singapur

- a horizontal lighting installation inspired by one of nature’s most subtle phenomena — the quiet beauty of suspended water droplets revealing beams of light. Just as natural Stratocumuls cloud refracts and reflects light in mid-air, this sculptural piece transforms space through layered glass, soft curves, and atmospheric shadows. Each element is hand-blown and bent, infused with opaque white tones to evoke the purity and irregularity of nature. Hand-engraved patterns on the glass surface create intricate shadows. Suspended at varying heights and gently responsive to air movement, the glass plates form a softly defined cloud that glows from above, illuminated by a ceiling- mounted downlight.
